Résumé

A Global Democratization Policy : The Democratic Republic of Congo Case Study At a time when an entire generation is rising in Africa to challenge the value of democracy, this article aims to critically examine the events of the past thirty years concerning the democratization process, striving to avoid the trap of measuring the relevance of democracy solely based on the shortcomings and failures that are observed. This paper therefore focuses on the trajectory of the DRC’s democratization process in the aftermath of the Cold War, rather than a simple analysis of a frozen snapshot (of an instant) in the life of democracy.
