Presentation of the Conflicts in Ituri (History, Actors, Issues, Interests, Possible Solutions) The conflict in Ituri is not inevitable. It is more a consequence of public policies disconnected from the sociological reality of the region and which leave some crooked state and non-state actors the possibility of trying to drink at the source of the suffering of the defenseless populations. There is more and more evidence that this spiral of violence is linked to a calamitous dual management : the mining resources that abound in the Iturian subsoil and the land heritage at the root of conflicts between local communities
